In 2018, the CDC reported that nearly half of all new STD cases were found in the 15-24 year old age range. STDs are an epidemic of its own, and while teen pregnancy may have declined, STD rates have skyrocketed. In our lessons, we highlight different types of STDs and whether they display symptoms or have a treatment option. Additionally, we emphasize that the only forms of contraception that protect from both pregnancy and STDs are condoms or abstinence.
