Substance use includes consuming alcohol or different types of drugs. Going into middle and high school, there is a lot of peer pressure to use different substances, which is why it is so important for youth to be educated and learn about the potential consequences.
According to the World Health Organization, early onset of substance use is associated with higher risks of developing dependence and other problems during adult life, and people of younger ages are disproportionately affected by substance use compared with people of older ages. As such, Healthy Teens specifically covers alcohol, marijuana, e-cigarettes, and opioid use within our substance use lessons.
Healthy Teens is dedicated to empowering youth to make positive, healthy decisions.
We believe that all youth should be empowered for their success and wellbeing!
Healthy Teens, Inc is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization.
