By Noelle Bencie, Healthy Teens Young Adult Leader and Social Media Coordinator

On July 22, Healthy Teens invited our Teen Health Educators and Young Adult Leaders to join us at DaySpring Conference Center in Parrish for our 2022 retreat!

This was our chance to say a huge THANK YOU to them for all of their hard work this summer, and continue to invest in their lives as leaders and change-makers in our  community.

After a morning of canoeing on the Manatee River, this group of outstanding young men and women had an amazing time learning how to grow in mental resilience, team building, and contributing to the future success of Healthy Teens in the areas of social media engagement, advocacy and program development.

They learned vital skills from the amazing talents of Steve Shenbaum from Game Nation, and Ethan Weiss from Telement Therapy. Thank you Steve and Ethan for serving us
with energy and passion on our retreat!

The group of young leaders was also joined by Holly and Rose from the Youth Coalition led by North River Prevention Partners. North River Prevention Partners are one of our closest community partners, and we were thrilled to have them join us.

We would like to thank everyone that helped make the retreat possible and for the time and effort that was put into making this year’s retreat a success, especially DaySpring for being such a gracious host – check them out for any corporate or personal events, it’s an incredible location!

We are looking forward to another great year of the Teen Health Educator program, continuing our mission of empowering youth to make positive, healthy decisions for their success and wellbeing!
